Lumia 830 specs leaked, Sept 4 announcement?

Hmm, if that's the case then this leaked pic showing an 8926 processor is fake, as that's SD400. Doesn't look fake to me.

Daniel is under embargo, so he can't say what it is; but he very firmly said what it isn't, and that's a S400. Maybe it's the international vs US model difference or something, but I tend to believe Daniel above blogs, especially when he most likely has the press release in hand at this point.

maybe its just a prototype, maybe its shopped from some chinese devil! :P
Daniel Rubino looks like is 100% sure that Lumia will not get S400 ;)

I really hope he's right. The pic just doesn't look fake at all to me. I wonder if there are indeed variants with different processors. We'll find out soon enough, but hope has returned, that's for sure!

Yeah, maybe I'm just preparing myself subconsciously for disappointment just in case lol. I totally trust Daniel as well, I just don't see anything fake about the leaked photo. I'm going to have to go with the different variants theory as well if Daniel is correct.

conspiracy theory :)
there is also the theory that companies will place certain text in their prototypes and then when they see leaks they can tell where that text came from...
i have heard that this is done...widespread by most companies

There are other possibilities other than it just being fake though, as others have suggested perhaps it's an older prototype or something, perhaps it was originally going to be a 400 and they changed it realising the sheer idiocy of it - at a stretch it could even be a screen print (not saying I think it is).

That last point has made me think - is this the first 720 x 1280 Lumia? Or even Windows Phone?

(Btw I get where you're coming from about preparing yourself in case it is bad news. A friend of mine once said "Less expectation = less disappointment")

All true. And as your friend alluded to... I'd rather under promise and over delivery to myself when it comes to matters I have no control over like this one. Is that too deep for a conversation about a mobile phone? :winktongue: Can't wait til the announcement... I may just stay up til 4am for it.

*Edit: To answer your question, I believe this indeed is the first 720 x 1280 Lumia. The closest we've gotten to that before was the 768 x 1280 resolution on the 920, 925, 928, and 1020.

hmmm didnt think about the resolution being the first time...
and what color is everyone thinking of?
i might be interested in the orange or the green?
i have been using black phones all my life - except for my silver N8

Thinking exactly the same. Always have black/silver stuff (think I had a dark blue Nokia 8210 once too) - however I did just pick up a used yellow Nokia BH-121 off eBay cos it was like ?10. So I might go for a bright phone too just for a change.

I bet I don't though.

Well the great thing about this guy is interchangeable backs! So I guess the decision isn't as important as when deciding on a color for a unibody phone.

I had black or silver/grey phones all my life til my yellow Lumia 920 and now my yellow 1520. I think I'll go with orange if I get the 830, though I'll probably purchase every back cover color as well 😊

That green one really catches my eye! I want it!

Good point, hadn't thought of that.

They'll cost a packet though.

Just realised, the 1320 is 720 x 1280.
