Lumia 830. Why is there no sound while in normal use?

Lumia 830. Why is there no sound while in "normal" use.

Nokia Lumina 830.

Sound is fine with ear buds.
Sound is fine on speaker.
No sound otherwise (talking in a "normal" manner.

Microphone works in all 3 cases.

I've tried multiple soft rests.

Any suggestions?

You've probably got a bad device. You should probably check out switching it for another.

Happened to mine as well. First they tried to repair it, but the problem came back in less than a week, so they replaced it.
