Lumia 900 - Headset issue

I have the Lumia 900 with latest 7.8 OS. My headset gives ear damaging noise when i have to take a call. However for music and app sounds there seems to be no issue. The call quality on the earpiece and speaker phone also went down at the same time.

Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I am disappointed that this phone did not last even 2yrs.

Initially i liked this solid phone and it OS. Now i have second thoughts on Lumia series and Windows.
In comparison the Samsung Focus is still working with diminished battery life.

Other issues i face with the Lumia 900 is

- It takes time to end calls.
- Redial functionality is erroneous when dialing international numbers
- GPS works intermittently, need to restart every time to get it to work
- Sound does not reduce when set to 1
- connects to weak wifi when multiple options are available / wifi priority cannot be set
- One Drive does not synch.

Some of your problems sound software related (OneDrive not syncing) not hardware. You may have an issue with your Microsoft Account as well. I would do a factory reset. That normally clears up alot of issues.

About your headset.. Has it worked well in the past or always had this problem? Is it a nokia headset? If not, that could be the issue. Headsets need to be matched to the proper phone work properly.


Try giving Nokia Care a call. They are great.

Headset worked for 14 months and is still working with other devices.
