I've had my L920 for the past year and a half and this is probably the first time I need to use bluetooth. I've tried pairing with another phone (Samsung S5) and another device (selfie extendable arm). On the bluetooth page, it detects bluetooth devices in the vicinity but when I connect to any of them, the connection stays on for barely 1-2 seconds and goes dead.

I've deleted and re-added bluetooth devices, I've rebooted my phone and I've tested it with several other bluetooth devices... same result.

I've searched forums but most have had advanced issues connecting to their cars and GPS - and here I am unable to make a simple connection to any other device

Nokia Lumia 920
OS Version: 8.0.10517.150

I regularly check for updates (namely 8.1) but its not out yet.

Just to confirm that it is not a hardware issue, first try soft resetting:
Hold the volume down and power button for a few seconds until your phone switches off and vibrates again.

However, if that doesn't work, try hard resetting:
Go to settings> about> reset.
Keep in mind that this will erase all your data on the phone, so make sure to backup first.

Also note that I myself have had this issue of not being able to connect to CERTAIN Android devices (not all) via Bluetooth.
Just to be 110% sure, try connecting it to another Windows Phone. If it connects and if the connection stays stable enough to say, transfer a file between the two devices, then I believe that there is no problem with your phone's Bluetooth.

If you are still unsuccessful in connecting to other devices, it might be a hardware problem. Then the only solution is to take your device to a Nokia care centre.

Hope this helps.

Same problem is confusing me because my Lumia is unsuccessful to connect to the android phones only
