Lumia 920 bricked after wireless charging

Last night I had my first night when the phone was still alive the next morning on the wireless charger. I did the two reset thing yesterday (once without sim - wait 10 minutes - reset with sim). So I will try again tonight and see what happens.

That said, I did have a random freeze when I was out and about. The phone vibrated in my pocket (nothing running and I don't think there were any appointments due to go off) and when I went to look at it, it was frozen.

Definitely update please...this could be a fix!

I ran into the same problem last night. Holding down the volume down and power buttons for a few seconds rebooted the phone. Scary stuff, I hope I don't end up having to return this yellow L920 - waited long enough for it to arrive (ATT).

I was convinced my problems were related to the wireless charger, but then I started having the same freezes even when I was not charging the phone. The common thing in all of my freezes (probably 20 in 8 days) is inactivity. I have hard reset mine several times and I cannot wait until early 2013 for a possible software fix, so I am off for a replacement in a short while.

Happened to me again tonight after just over an hour of charging wirelessly. That's twice in two nights. :/

using the yellow charging plate since I got it, no problem so far. Charging from 5% to 100% in about 3 hours or so and phone is active all the time.

Mine did it again last night. Placed it on the charger and fell asleep. I woke up an hour after my alarm was supposed to go off because.....yep, it wasn't responding and needed a forced reboot once again. I am starting to consider the option of sending this back.

I have charged my phone with the charger that was in the box with my phone the past two days and it charged very well without any freezes. It's very annoying that I can't charge my phone with my wireless charger and I don't know if I should get a recplacement from Vodafone, because I only got freezes when charging wirelessly.

Do you guys have Location services turned on or off? I tried charging wirelessly with location services turned off and it did not freeze. But I can't say for sure if turning it off was why it didn't freeze.

Same issue here. Charged it wirelessly for the night and woke up late because the phone was dead and alarm didn't ring. Next day I charge it wirelessly till its at %100 and then leave it on the desk before going to sleep and wake up to the same issue. Last night I used the wall charger and the phone didn't die at night. I guess its a firmware issue related to charging wireless. I hope it gets fixed soon, as I love the wireless charging stand I got.

Add me to the list of issues.

I just got my wireless plate yesterday in the mail. I plugged it all up and sat my phone down literally for about 1 minute just to see if it worked. Then went about on my way. Sent a few text messages while fixing dinner and checked my phone. Locked up.

Let the battery go ahead and run down for the night and then used the wireless charger. Woke up this morning and....Locked up. It did charge the phone to 100% but it was frozen this morning. I've been using the wired charger without issue since I got the phone the first week.

Phone just locked up again with no warning and I didnt even have it on the charger. Nothing has changed other than switching to the wireless charger.. I sent a tweet to NokiaCareUS. :(

I'm on my second soft reset of the day and it hasn't touched the wireless changer since last night and it's locked up twice now. Im going to cable charge it tonight though.

NokiaCareUS on twitter is responding but going through normal troubleshooting steps.. There wanting to know if I have tried another charger.. How would i even get another charger seeing as it took 3 weeks to get this one..

I know its troublesome, but you might just have to do an OS reset if the lock ups continue. Good luck getting it back to normal

Speaking more with NokiaCareUS on twitter they asked for me to try wireless charging with BT off. I will do that for troubleshooting sake but that's not a good perm solution. I use BT everyday with my car for phone and music streaming and having to remember to turn it on/off everytime will get annoying quick.

The past two nights my phone charged very well with my wireless charger. The only new software on my phone is the display+touch update. Maybe it fixed it? I'm going to try charging this night again with my Qi.

I had already got the display+touch update a week or so back and that did not resolve the issues I'm having.
