Hello everyone on windows phone central,
Right now I own a lumia 620 but I'll be changing my cell phone really soon. I want to try something a little higher end, and my choices are down to lumia 920 and lumia 925. My country hasn't received any recent windows phones like the 1520, 630,etc. The "latest" windows phone that has been brought to my country is the 1020, but I can't afford it.

My carrier offers the lumia 920 for a reasonable price, also I could find the lumia 925 unlocked but is a little difficult to find in my country and it is more expensive. I like the lumia 920 because it has more storage space than the 925, on the other hand the lumia 925 is slimmer, more elegant and its battery perfomance is slightly better. I'm afraid that if I choose the lumia 920,I'm afraid it would stop receiving updates because it is older than the 925, because the 925 is more recent, I think it would have a longer support.

Which one do you think I should pick?
Btw pardon my english, it's not my native language

get the 920 because of the extra storage, unless having a slightly lighter phone is more important. I feel both phones will be supported, since they have essentially same hardware.

I had same dilemma. I chosed 925 just because 920 seemed heavy for my pocket! Till day, phone works perfect. I only wish it has more built in memory, like 920. Also, I like colors of 920.
I beleive both phones will have same support so it's up to you to decide. Either way, you can't miss. ;)

Don't worry about updates, the 920 and 925 are the same generation, they will probably be OK for a while.

Personally I would pick the 920, as I have.
Twice the storage (although 32 GB 925's exist)
Qi charging built in, I like wireless charging

However, the 925 has a slightly upgraded camera, slimmer build, addition of metal, and I don't think battery life would be very different, since the internals are virtually identical on paper save for differing screen technology (makes a difference)

Colorful plastic vs. grey metal
Bulk and features vs. slim beauty at a slight cost
etc
etc

At first, I thought 920 is heavy and bulky but it is not! You will get used to it after a week or a month. Choose 920 because it is more durable, have 32gb compared to 925's 16gb (You are lucky if you can find 925 with 32gb outside US) and 920 is less expensive compared to 925.

The insides of the two phones are almost identical. Too me the only negative I have about the 925 is only 16GB of internal memory and no SD slot. But it is the best looking Windows phone there is. I bought one but decided to keep my 820 (same insides as 920/925) but with SD card. I gave the 925 to my wife and she loves it; but I also knew she would not need much internal memory. I still find myself admiring it every time she pulls it out; but I like the 820 better. I choose it over the 920 when they both came out. If the 925 had a SD slot I would be using one today. Its a nice piece of work. If you can live with 16GB of memory, grab it quick, if you can get a 32GB one even better. With 8.1 almost being released to the public I don't see why anyone would get a phone without a SD slot. But that's just my opinion
