Lumia 920 Search Results Bug - HELP?

Hi All -

I've been having a ton of problems with the search function on my Lumia 920 (AT&T). I wasn't having this issue until recently - basically around the time of the 1308 update.

I just installed the 1314 update, as well, hoping it would provide a fix, but I had no luck.

Basically - when I click on the search capacitive button and search for anything, the search results refuse to render properly, regardless of being on WiFi or LTE. I thought it might have been related to the connectivity issues, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Has anyone else had these issues? Are there settings somewhere I can mess around with in an effort to get search to function properly again?

Keep in mind, this is done by hitting the hardware search button, typing in a search (in this case, McDonalds for the sake of an example). Also - notice that regardless of scrolling left and right to different pages (Media, Shopping, etc.) the same results show up with the same rendering.

Any ideas? Really hoping for some help here outside of resetting the phone.

I searched for this error, and found this post. Same thing happened to me, but fixed it today.

Error only occurred with the dark background (which is what I have). I changed it to the light background and the search results seem to render correctly.

I only noticed it around the same time as the update as well, but this did not fix it either. I also installed some apps around the same time, so am not sure of what the the culprit was?

I uninstalled some of the apps I had installed. Did a soft reset (press and hold the power button and volume down button for about 10 seconds). That fixed the problem. Then I re-installed the apps... and all is still OK.

So maybe is was the soft reset, or the un-installing of the apps? Not sure. Either way, the problem is gone.

Hope this helps, but I imagine you've already tried a soft reset.
