Hello everyone!

I have a question about brightness. I have a new Lumia 925 and from the begining, my screen seems to be a little greyish (especially when white color is displayed) and also a little yellowish. Yesterday I compared my 925 with my friend's 1020 and on maximum brightness the 1020 was quite brighter. Also, the buttons under the display were brighter on 1020. Is that normal? Can anyone confirm/refuse that display on 1020 is brighter? P.S. I must say, that I have an WP 8.1 PD verison and my friend has WP 8, but that propably doesnt matter. Thank you for your answers!

You can try to adjust display setting on your Lumia 925. To do so go to phone settings/display/adjust. Adjust colour temperature and saturation :)

Thank you for your answer :) Yes, I know about this opinion. This not completly solve my problem, the display still looks weird. I thought that displays on L 925 and 1020 are same, but when I compared them, It defenitly doesnt look like that :/. Is there anyone, who has L 1020 and 925 and can compare them + post photo of compare here? thanks a lot!

@Koviddd: I think you'll get used to the way it looks :/ You can check out some YouTube videos of the 925 in HD and see if you find any dffrnc between ur phone and theirs, or compare ur fon with others having the 925. You cant compare the 925 with the 1020 bcos even tho they both have amoled display, it doesnt mean they will look the same. And if u still think that ur display has some probs then i think you shoukd take it to the nokia care to check :)

Hey I just about to post a message with the same problem. I just bought a 32Gb 925 in Germany and my screen is "greenish", just like a Samsung. I was so dissapointed because Nokia praised this screen so bad and actually I would take the screen on my 820 anyday of the week. Hell, I think i even like the screen on the 620 better.
It is a big let down and I wonder if Nokia changed the manufacter or something of that afection cause the screen I have on my 925 is just too bad to be true.
And the auto brightness keeps my screen too dim at all times.

It's so bad that I actually regret getting this phone.

Cheers everyone

ProTip: Turn off "autobrightness" and change the settings between high/mid/low, then turn auto back on. It will observe the manual setting as it's baseline. So if you turned on auto while it was set to low, it will stay lower unless it kicks to sunlight visibility mode.

From my experience the 925 and 1020 displays should look identical. I compared mine to two different 1020s that my friends have and all three screens look identical. However the capacitive buttons do have a yellow tint on the 925. If your screen is discolored it should warrant a repair from Nokia. I had my phone repaired because the screen was very yellow, and the new screen looks just like 1020.

So you think that when my display is also very yellowish, it can be a reason for send it to Nokia Care?

I sent mine in for a yellow screen and they replaced the screen without questions and within about a week.
Okay, thanks. I will do it. It is great phone, but that screen is uqly :/ I will post later if Nokia Care replace it.
