Looking to flash now but have some complications. I have the modified NCS from earlier in the thread and I'm following the tutorial also earlier on the thread. Here's where I'm at:

I downloaded all files from the OP. I then put the 4gb file in in the packages folder in prog data. Then open NCS. Then file>open product>rm-860. Then programming>recovery > update list.

Nothing happens when I hit update list. So I put all files from OP in packages folder. Still nothing happens when I hit update list. Then put in test mode...still nothing.

What am I missing fellas? Glad to hook someone up with a small PayPal donation if I can get it worked out in the next couple hours. Really need this to be able to test a WPA2 Enterprise network tomorrow.
Be sure you get the right file name as below and all files were put in C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products\rm-860

Ok, downloaded all the files in the OP, followed the thread to make the C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Package\Products\RM-680 folder -- placed all the files in that folder, then tried the offline update mode.

Getting an error stating that the .vpl file has an invalid signature? I've downloaded all of the files again (except for the 4GB FFU file) and still get the error.

Any thoughts?
i think RM-860 not RM-680 :)
and please check if you rename all files as above

I just wanted to second that using Nokia Software Updater worked flawlessly, other than the wait. All I had to do was download and run it. Not sure if update without delete works since I reset it, but it does give the option. Took overnight to download, but successfully updated. For those unfamiliar with the process of manually updating the phones (like myself) this is probably the easiest way to do it.

No kidding. I messed around with NCS for a while, but kept getting errors. Downloaded NSU and it works like magic. Why people are using the NCS is beyond me.

And it would be interesting if you could uncheck the delete data box and update it without erasing. Someone try that or I may with another phone later today.

Has anyone had any app updates since updating their 928? I can manually update apps, but since update I haven't noticed any updates. How long should it be before it checks? An example would be extras + info which I manually updated today- why didn't this prompt for update in the few days since I updated my phone?

Yes, I think I've been notified of at least 3 app updates since the gdr2.
