I have a few 4K video files on my Lumia 950 I thought I would transfer to my Surface Pro 3. When I plugged in the USB cable, I got a warning saying there is a Power Surge on the USB port and that there is not enough power for my device. It disabled the port but it appeared the 950 was still charging.
Does anyone know a way around this? Is there a device driver or update that I'm missing? I'm stunned I cannot connect the phone to transfer files by USB.
UPDATE: It was the Rankie brand USB-C cable I was using. It works fine for charging, but does not work to connect with Surface Pro 3. The Microsoft USB-C cable included with the Lumia 950 works just fine on the Surface Pro 3.
