Lumia 950 volume drops

When I listen to anything on my Lumia 950, the volume drops. Sometimes it goes back up and then down seemingly randomly. I feel like the phone is trying to do some sort of loudness equalization, but doing a terrible job. Is there any way to fix this? I tried poking around the registry but came up empty handed.

Are you talking about the built in speaker, headphone output, or Bluetooth???
