i have a laptop running windows 8 and i have lumia 720 (reliance 3g pack of 1gb) . will please anybody tell me how to update to black with these amenities only????

The update isn't too big. So you could try to update it OTA without losing any data. Now if your phone says that you need to have wifi connection you are on your own. Don't think about downloading the firmware on your PC and update because the size of the firmware is over 1 GB.

Its a funny thing that I'll suggest now. But do try it as it may work.

1) Connect to internet using your mobile on your laptop.
2) Share the connection over Wifi from your laptop.(I can pm you how to share the connection over wifi)
3) Connect to the wifi broadcast from the laptop on your phone.
4) Try updating your phone then.

Double tap to wake is just awesome. I will surely be using this alot from now on because I have a hard shell cover on my phone covering the button. The glance looks good, not too fond of it.

Did you guys notice the spinning gears problem is old age? Such fast installation.

Got the black, thank you guys for sharing the info.
I faced few problems while installing but now its fine
1. Need to have 1 gb of phone memory
2.it get struks at 100% install. After this it takes 10 mins to restart , so dont panic

What are the new features u guys saw in black
1.screen rotation
2.glance
3.double tap
4. Closing app from task manager

Apart from this anything new?

I also did notice the progress bar in the spinning gears mode, that is good to see. And yes the Nokia storyteller app is awesome. Gonna get a new 32 Gb card today then reset the phone to make it new
