Lumia denim update problem.

Hey guyz I am using 2 windows phone, both the wp are Lumia 520.
I received an Lumia denim update on one of my wp Lumia 520, but only in one Lumia. And when I checked for an update manually on my another Lumia 520 *dp*, it shows that "your phone is upto date".

Hoe did you get the update from Nokia? Are you using the dp?

I have got the update on my non dp luima, bt not getting the update on dp running Lumia.

(I) Lumia 520-Non Dp-Received official denim update.
(II) Lumia 520-Dp-Not receiving denim update.

Yeah, turn off DP then check again, once you're done, turn it back on.

I had tested doing this. But that doesn't work on my Lumia 520 dp.

So check under SETTINGS > EXTRAS+INFO Mobiel operator: 000-??.

If your DP is up to date then it's already running Denim. Denim for the 520 is in a nut shell = Lumia Cyan firmware + WP 8.1.1 OS. The Denim update does not bring a new firmware for the 520. Hope it makes sense and clears some confusion

Thank you so much Pankaj for the info.
But my question is, why I am getting the *official* denim update for non dp Lumia 520 and why not for dp running Lumia 520.

Because:



1) the non-dp Lumia 520 was on the last updated firmware (Cyan) + OS 8.1. When Microsoft pushed the OS update it got updated to 8.1.1, since it was already on the Cyan firmware its now on Denim



2) the Lumia 520 on DP had Cyan firmware from an earlier update plus the latest 8.1.1 (newer than the OS pushed in the official release) update. Since the OS version was newer than what was being pushed during official release, your phone did not get updated (no point in downgrading to a lower OS version)
