and how is it checking if its in the pocket? should it analyse the surrounding with ultra sonic sound? And how is vibrate always on irritating?

Proximity sensor just same as glance

Why would you keep it face down

I always do... It keeps my Always On Glance dark until I pick up my phone to check the status AND it helps protect the lens over my camera. I have a tempered glass screen protector on so I'm not worried at all about setting the phone down face down.

And I can NOT stand vibrate. My phone is never allowed to vibrate at me. Ever.
