WPCentral Question

I'm looking for highend lumia phones and really really got confused with too many variants unlike simple branding like iPhone (6 or 6 plus).

I understand that 5,6,7 variants are low end phones. Confusion starts here....

Can anyone kindly help me understand the differences between 8, 9, 10, 15 series?

All the phones have decent specifications, but which is Microsoft's flagship phone that gives best of everything? Lumia 1520? or 930?

Thanks in advance!

1520 and 930 are the current flagships. 1520 is a much bigger screen. If you're in the US, 930 is not carried by any carriers, and the 1520 is being discontinued by AT&T. Icon is the same as 930, but was also discontinued by Verizon. So in the US there are essentially no flagships available once the 1520s sell out.

1020 is much slower but has a better camera. Only on AT&T.

830 is available on AT&T. Decent camera (not anywhere near as good as 1020/930/1520) but fairly slow processor. They call it the "affordable flagship", though the pricing on it isn't that great either.

5/6 = Low end
7/8 = Mid range
High end = 9XX
Phablet = 15xx
There is no best of everything so far. Advice? Look at the 735/830/930 specs and figure out which one you want. The 930 lacks an SD slot and a decent FFC. The 735 > 830 in everywhere but Camera.

The Lumia 830 isn't a flagship, far from it. It's a mid-range device in disguise :p
At the moment, the Lumia 930 is Microsoft's flagship device, with great specs.
The Lumia 1020 doesn't have the same-level specs, but it's still a high-end device with an amazing camera.
The Lumia 1520 is the true flagship. It has amazing specs, with a huge display.

If I were you, I'd get the 1520 :D

Hope I helped
