Maps in South Korea and Japan?

I'll be going to Japan and South Korea in a month. I was all excited about offline maps but I just noticed that Here maps doesn't offer mapping data for South Korea or Japan. I downloaded Google maps but it just redirects you to here maps when you ask it for directions?

Any suggestions?
