Maps on SD card

I added the Lumia storage check to this phone, and in the the details is the option to change the storage location of maps to the SD card. I switched the location to SD card and tried to download a new map.
The download seems to hang and never finishes. I tried restarting the phone, formatting the SD card from the phone menu with no luck. I gave up after a couple of hours messing with it. If you download the map to the phone and switch the storage location to the SD, the map does not get moved. It only works for new downloaded maps.

Has anyone else had any luck with moving the maps to the SD card? Is there a way to download the maps on my PC and move them to a file on the SD card?

Yes I did and I had no problems whatsoever in downloading maps. May by your WiFi is faulty.

So it seems... Right after posting this, I started trying again and I downloaded a map to the SD card with no problem. Must have just been a poor wifi connection last night.

After using Lumia storage check beta to put the maps onto the SD card can you erase the Lumia storage check beta app?

Since the maps are now on the SD card instead of the phone are there any performance decreases for apps that use the maps like Nokia Here Drive?
