By the way absolutely luv my 928 but curious. I have never been a fan of flash photography, so why even when my flash is off when I take a pic it flashes??? My 8x, i4s an Torch 9860 which were my last 3 phones before never did this. Is there another setting im not finding to completely turn that off?

just go to camera -> photo settings -> focus assist light: off

Long is right, it is the focus assist LED you are seeing. This flash is before the picture is captured to get the focus correct,the actual picture is after and does not have added light.
