Message tone

So, I created a tone using the ringtone maker app n set that as a message tone for one of my fren...n I disabled the notification banner for the messaging in notifications +actions...so, now whenever my fren text me the tone keep on ringing until the end of the whole tone...before this I enabled the notification banner, n if I swipe the notification banner to the left, the tone will stop...but now even after I reply my fren also, then tone will be still ringing...is there any way to stop the tone from ringing besides enabling back the notification banner???

Shorten the tone length. I have no problem like that with tones under 3 or 5 seconds.
