Messege sound in wp10

Hi!

New here in windows central.

Bought a Lumia 830 yesterday and it came with 8.1. Today I upgraded to windows 10 and really like it. My phone got really nice now but I have a problem. I can't change notification tone (messages) cant fint it anywhere ?

Can someone help me with this ?

Go into Settings -> System -> Notifications & Actions.
Scroll down to "Messaging" app and press on it
Change the "Notification sound"

Been there and nothing there?

Just got an update to.36 I think, maybe I will find this setting when i this upgrade is finished

I didn't have it either when I upgraded from 8.1 to 10. I didn't do a hard reset so I assume that was part of the problem. Option to change the tone appeared after I received a text.

Yes, you have to get a notification at least once to edit the tone of this particular notification.

Great guys! Don't have a simcard in that phone right now but I will check after I have received a message.

Which is just stupid.

And now it's working . Took 2 messages to get there it now it's ok.

One thing I don't like about notifications, can't choose different sound on my gmail/exchange mail. Hope there will be a fix for that soon.
