Microsoft 640XL SD Card data grows up suddenly and displays Low Storage sense

[Windows Central Question]

My Microsoft 640XL mobile SD Card (16GB capacity), data grows up suddenly and displays Low Storage sense.

I checked every folder in SD card and it shows not more than 2GB of data. All my SD card has only 9.5GB of data and remaining 6GB of data is unknown.

Can anyone advise me up what my 6GB of data has and is it a virus or something other which i don,t know .....???

Hi and welcome to windows central forums.

It couldnt be a virus, is this sdcard new? or was used in a different device . lumia?

tip: extract the important data from sdcard ( pics , music, videos) and format the card in your PC or using the phone. It should clear anything that is into hidden storage
