Microsoft account settings

What's the best setting for the Microsoft account under "email+accounts" to preserve battery life? I have my Yahoo mail set to sync manually, but Microsoft doesn't give that option. I don't use Outlook, but obviously you can't delete the Microsoft account from the phone. Right now I have it set for "as items arrive".

If you don't use email on your Microsoft Account, then go into the sync settings for that account and untick the "content to sync" setting for email.

there is an option to sync it manually. i mean, i use another mail id, which is for newsletters and other contents such as professional updates from our institute, which need not to be synced continuously. i made it manual sync or sync once in a day. this saves data and battery, as i can sync them, only when i am in wifi.
