So I've had my band for about three weeks now and yesterday a few red bumps appeared on the bottom side of my wrist where the heart rate monitor possesses against. I really don't want to get rid of my band. I've seen some skins for the band on Amazon but does anyone know if there are any that cover the metal border of the heart rate monitor?

I have been wearing my band for over a month now, no redness, no bumps and no signs of any discomfort. But you have to realize I clean my band every day with fresh clean water than a good swab of Isopropyl Alcohol. If you keep up a good hygienic program you should do fine with the band.

I have been wearing mine since it was released. I recommend wiping it down as well. Good luck

No skin issues with me either. But I take it off my wrist daily to charge when I shower and usually leave it off for two hours afterward.

Had mine since release and been fine. Through the years I've worn several different fitness bands and the one thing I've noticed with most if they are on too tight and you don't keep up with cleanliness you are bound to have some form of skin irritation to pop up.

I've had my band since it came out. I did start to get some soreness and with a normal watch I take it off when I sleep. So what I did was swap wrists when I go to sleep.

I was under the impression that it's not good to use alcohol on the band? I'll have to start doing that. I've been too cautious to clean it because I was told it's not very waterproof by the salesperson except for like not heavy rain.

I wear the band with the face facing out like a watch so the heartrate is on the bottom side of my wrist.

Even so are there any skins that cover the metal of the heartrate monitor? Thank you all for your replies.

Merry Christmas

You might be having an allergic reaction to the metal. It sounds like your reaction is similar to my brother's reaction to nickel. I wear it except for charging and showering with no issues.

Just dampen what ever you use to clean your band. Just dampen not drench, and if you use a Q-tip same thing just dampen use your head and you wont bother the band

I was going to mention the same thing. Contact dermatitis. Some of us aren't lucky enough to be able to have metal in constant contact with our skin without irritation.
