Microsoft confirms delay for adding extension support in Edge browser until 2016

Windows 10 users who have been waiting patiently to see Microsoft add the promised support for third-party extensions in its Microsoft Edge web browser will have to wait a while longer. The company has now confirmed earlier reports that extensions will not be released for Edge in 2015 as originally scheduled.
