Miracast not working after updating to 8.1 GDR1

I was testing Miracast last week with my 1520 with WP8.1 & Cyan and LG TV and it was working pretty well.

Just updated to GDR 1 and now cannot connect the two.

I have Factory Reset the TV and that didn't help. Tried Advanced / Fix in the Project My Screen setting app and that has not helped either. It didn't even force the TV to ask me if I would like to allow the 1520 to pair again despite what it says the Fix option will do.

Next step would be to reset the phone, but I don't want to try that if it won't help as it takes ages to reinstall all of my apps. So, is anyone else having this problem after loading 8.1 GDR 1?

To be honest, Miracast barely worked for me in WP8.1/Cyan (only 1 out of 10 tries worked on my LG TV). I know my LG TV Miracast function doesn't work very well (so are all other TV or BD player Miracast adapters) compared to my NetGear Push2TV adapters.

Just did a test, it works better than 8.1. Tried twice. Both times, I was able to connect my 1520 to my LG TV without much issue.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

It worked well for me every time I tried it last week. I'll have a fiddle around and see if this Surface will connect before I think about resetting the phone.

Guess I just discovered how flaky Miracast is in reality!

Extremely flaky will be my description on Miracast in general. I often have to switch between 2.4G and 5G bands to make it work correctly (WP8.1 and Win8.1 devices will use the same band as your current wifi internet connection to connect to the Miracast devices if one is used. So switch your wifi internet connection band with effectively switch the Miracast connection band).
