Thumbnails are not appearing for some of my desktop files (especially jpeg/png ones) or some of the program icons in my taskbar menu. I have tried the suggestions mentioned in the below article (see URL), but I have appeared to not be successful.

Under 'Bonus tip', it says to open File Explorer, click on the View tab, and then click on Options. When I tried to do that, however, it was grayed out, as were the Layout and Current view options. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this thumbnail issue?
