Hi all

Today I was having a BBQ and I've taken some pictures they look very sharp and crisp the flames looked so real ;-)
I'm extremely happy with the quality of the pictures.
I decided to send them to my friend so once I've done it something told me to check it
and when I've opened the message and seen the pictures in the message I was shocked!
the quality is nothing like the original ones.
I can see all the pixels (loads of little square boxes) for my the picture simply is ugly!
I've transferred the original ones on to my pc and they haven't lost the quality.
Does anyone know why the pictures are dramatically loosing quality once send as a MMS?

Most carriers have file size limits for MMS, for instance the limit is 600 KB on AT&T. Therefore, it is impossible to share full resolution pictures via MMS.

Silly me...Why didn't I think that could be the reason. Thanks Laura

I asked rep at tmobile same question and like previous said, there is a limit so it is compression that downgrades.

i tried emailing pics to outlook and the quality is far inferior to what is on the camera (darker and blurred)

But you could send it via email. No quality loss there.
It depends with the email provider you use, though. Some compress your pictures, if the pictures are large enough.

Still, that's nowhere as bad as the MMS image compression. Our carrier's size limit is 384 KB!
