MS News notification

There is an option within the app to receive breaking news alerts. However, I have yet to receive any notifications from it. Does it work for you? How do you enable it?

If you are referring to MSN News app: On WM 8.1 open the app, tap the dots at bottom right ( ... ), tap 'settings', swipe to 'permissions', and there is a box to turn on/off News Alerts.

Thanks. I am on w10m. And yes, I've turned on to receive notifications. However, I never receive anything from the app.
