MSFT Health & Band Updates

Knowing that none of us have crystal balls :smile: how long do you think before Microsoft opens the Health website and/or starts pushing updates to the Band and the app.

I'm really excited about the potential of the band, and would like to start viewing better data on a larger computer screen. Microsoft have been working on the project for 3 years so I would have thought that a update would have been pushed by now or at least be imminent. I wonder if just over a months worth of user data times the number of bands sold, is enough to enable some of the advanced features to be enabled.

I know it's still early days,but I hope Microsoft don't leave it too long before interest wanes in MS Health, we need to be seeing continued improvements similar but hopefully more advanced than the likes of Fitbit and Jawbone before the release of Band 2.

Okay, I really like the band but have decided to continue wearing my fitbit and wait until MSFT opens up the website or starts providing more insightful data from the band, I hope the 2nd Gen doesn't arrive before then.
Come on Microsoft your a software company, provide some useful info on progress of the Microsoft Health website.

I admit I am a bit disappointed. I love my BAND, but the 'actionable insights' from the health data really interested me. I also assumed that we would be able to have access to the data and process it ourselves. As of now, the example of 'does eating breakfast in the morning help your run?' is impossible to answer. It's also not clear whether I should log my food in the MSN Health & Fitness app or MyFitnessPal. At least the latter seems to sync with MS BAND calorie data. Ironically, even MSFT's own apps like MSN H&F, HealthVault don't interact with the BAND.

While I'm still pleased with the BAND and have used it daily since Day One, I'm disappointed there hasn't been any further integration/development.

For anything really interesting to come out of this, you need data. Data is only available over time. No matter how interesting it is for us to look at our daily statistics, it is only after months that it will REALLY tell us anything clear about ourselves.

IMHO, I don't think data is the main thing in play here if like me others were expecting a web based app that allowed me to look at the information provided by the band, that data exists individually for all owners of the band the web interface is just missing, an app to sync the band is only marginally useful. The web app doesn't have to be all singing and dancing yet but it has been in development with the band (3 years) so there should be something available by now.

Also Microsoft Health is design to be able to capture data from devices like the Fitbit or the Jawbone UP and they have been around for sometime. Whilst I understand that MSFT may still be working all the kinks out, they should at least be providing some update on progress given that the band is being sold as part of the bigger picture, which is Microsoft Health.

I think "ironically" is far too kind a word.

I'm waiting with baited breath for these updates, but more so for MS Health to also appear and unleash the full potential of the band.
