MSN News Live Tile not updating

As above, the live tile has been stuck on the same story for about a week now. I've tried opening and closing the app, unpinning and pinning and a soft reset. Haven't yet uninstalled and reinstalled but its an option if its likely to work. I've experienced similar problems with the sport live tile also.

Yeah, me too!
.. and my MSN Health app has stopped working altogether.

Gonna try reinstalling both.

I had this problem for about a week. Went into the app settings and turned the live tile off. Exited the app and did a soft reset. Went back in and turned the live tile back on. It's been working fine since.

I haven't had any problems with news alerts coming through. There's been several the last few days.

DLong4, the background task setting is in Battery Saver.

News has been busted for a while. I stopped using the live tile.

Did your phone at any point enter Battery Saver mode? I've noticed that enabling Battery Saver breaks the background processes for certain apps for me, MSN News being one, and Facebook Messenger being another. Once I enable Battery Saver, no amount of messing about with the app or their permissions to run in the background fix the issue, they have to be reinstalled.

How does one do this?

Go to Settings > Swipe to the left > background tasks > Tap on the app that you want to block
