Msn Weather app fails update download last three Insiders

The stock Msn weather app updates have failed to download with error 0x80073cf9 for the last three Insider installs.
All other app updates download trouble free.
Any fixes...or just wait hope retry?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the MSN Weather app? Sometimes it (and other apps) gets stuck, and this method has worked for me. If you can, try to wait between the uninstall and the reinstall, half an hour to an hour.

Hi Azensun. Tried that. Upon right click there is no uninstall option.

Still getting error downloading the weather app.
This is ongoing, 4th or 5th insider install later.
The app works good when opened. The weather is wrong at most times.
Perhaps then it is actually is up to date.

I'm fed up with Windows. May have to go back to Android.

I have two phones on latest production preview, L640 and L820.

L640 failed to install Skype Business, Skype will be put to sleep later this year and upgrade adviser failed to update on WP8.1, so I hard reset it, installed upgrade advisor, upgraded to TH2 .107, went to insider and updated to 393.67 followed by another hard reset and setup without restore. It fails to update gestures, Sygic navigation and Scan - QR code do not install. It's maybe 5th tome
L820 installs Sygic fine but fails to update Excel, it downloads 0.7MB and calls it a day (on L640 Excel was 10-11 MB!).
Both were updated to 393.82 but it does not make things better.

Weather was fine on both.

I don't know what is going on with store or phones or W10M or whatever (random variation on errors, no wonder MS is not pushing W10M as direct OTA to all compatible devices), but it looks like L640 will face recovery tool again and stay on WP8.1 for good...

Same problem with Weather app over here on 950xl. Everything updates nicely (today Twitter, yesterday Skype Preview, OneNote and Maps), only Weather keeps complaining '0x80073cf9'. Now on Release Preview, same thing on Production.
Odd...

Same cannot update MSN Weather. It has been for months. Eventually I give up and install Yandex Weather.

why dont you quit the insider and come back to production build, i believe you understood clearly what you are stepping into before signing up with the insiders. Such glitches and bugs are very normal and in extreme cases could leave your device useless.

* Please enter insider on your own risk and understand very clearly that apart from the bugs provided by Microsoft during the release of a new insider build there could still exist many other unidentified bugs which could randomly surface and cause trouble to you. These bugs many a times could be isolated to you and have no solution for a workaround.
