Music App update just out!

Yes, art for local music would not show in the "now playing" screen. just the werid diagonals lines and stuff. Now Frank Zappa's face pan's and scan's to oblivion! Also, certain local albums artwork wouldn't load despite being present in list-view, now it loads on the album details/tracklist that pops-up.

Yes, now when I pause a song my surface emits a strange garbled noise and takes awhile to go away after closing app. Seems faster though. They still need to make it easier to buy multiple tracks, take away the annoying white pop up box in middle of screen when you click on an album or artist and have a user friendly set up when first installing opening app so people would be able to set their own preferences with an explanation of what those settings would do. Like say the cloud will use a lot of data to sync songs. Also allow that sync with surface closed and screen off so people with thousands of songs could do it while they sleep.

Downloaded the new app, and...... for me, the experience is worse. I still get the media rights bs like very 5th or 6th streamed track, so no fix there, and now in between tracks that garish digital noise is back (which the previous update had mostly gotten rid of for me) Hey Microsoft: "Zune" (honestly Zune was perfect, and mostly touch enabled, running it as is with no taskbar, would be a better full screen touch experience than most apps, especially this new one)

I love the surface but music/video is where MS dropped the ball HARD on Windows 8.

Things missing:
-Metadata management (especially since it can take great data and organization from my Zune and WMP libraries and render is useless)
-Podcast support (slapdash is better and cross platform but default option for those who were used to it would be great)
-CD ripping (can't remember the last time I did this but still, obviously doesn't apply to the surface)
-Fast interface (my Phone, a Titan 1, can open music, albums, libraries, steam, etc at fast speed, this app, on a quad-core, SUCKS. And I would blame it on the memory/processor but the phone app exhibits none of this so clearly an ARM-based music player is possible)

Music app is still weak but it starts up and plays music so much faster if you set startup to your music collection. Hope that helps some people.
