In windows 8.1i would press search then the music buttin when I wanted to identify a song. How do you do it now in windows 10 mobile?

I just ask Cortana "what song is this". That works for me

Hit the search button on the phone, then hit the microphone beside the text box. It will start to listen for you to talk to it, you can tap the little music notes on the top right corner of the screen, and it will start listening for music.

Try using the search feature in the Groove app.

Or in the File Explorer app. (Just make sure you select "This Device" or the SD card since it won't search across both at the same time.)

If your Cortana works, just hold search button until Cortana starts, in upper right corner you'll se note. Tap on it and Cortana will listen for a song.
