My 1520 can't check for updates

I've been pressing the "Check for updates" button frequently in anticipation for Cyan, but suddenly it's not working right. The "Checking for updates..." message will appear, but more than five minutes later, nothing happens. When the lock screen appears and I unlock it, it now says "Your phone is updated" but the "Last checked" date was the date of the last check when things are still ok. Has anyone encountered the same issue? Any suggestions? I'm from the Philippines.

Lumia Cyan is still in testing phase in the Philippines. You can download the Cyan Update app so you can check every now and then.

Yes, Cyan isn't out yet in the Philippines, but I'm worried why my update checker won't say anything on whether the update is available or not. It just keeps saying "Checking for updates..." for a long time with no results.

Perhaps you hit that button so many times it broke.
Just dial it back man!
It'll probably be easier to spam F5 on the WPC homepage.

Maybe a restart will clear it up.
