My 16GB model says there's only 8GB installed.

So my 16GB surface book shows there is only 8GB of memory installed both in task manager and system properties, although it says there's a 512GB hard drive. Does anyone else with the 16GB model have this issue?

Just so you know...the devices are completely sold out. You will have to wait for a replacement device either from Microsoft or from Best Buy.

It's unfortunate that you didn't receive the item you paid for, but you should return your device to where you purchased it, and then put a backorder preorder at your closest Microsoft Store or ask them to reserve you one at your Best Buy.
