My Instagram Theory

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, I searched for numerous existing forums to see if it had previously been mentioned...

At any rate, today I was thinking perhaps the delay of an official Instagram app is due to the fact that Microsoft wants to integrate it into the People hub like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. I assume if this were their motive (which would be awesome, btw!) it would have to come with the release of a new version of WP. I enjoy using 6tag more than any other Instagram client, official or third-party, but was thinking today how awesome it would be to have Instagram fully integrated into the People hub. What do you all think?

I think thats something that windows phone really needs. Who knows, Microsoft could include this in WP8.1

Integration is nice an all but unless they change the way it works in 8.1; a standalone client is a better choice in terms of flexibility and adding new features.

There's really no reason you can't have integration and a stand alone client just as we already do with Facebook. Choices are good.

The delay comes from the tech industry being riddled with toxic/immature people/fanboys doing app development and running companies. Where at a stage in technology where developers ego/personal likes/hatreds are starting to take priority over growing profit or marketshare for their apps or products. It took nearly a year for instagam to hit Android after it's debut on iOS- and android had a much larger marketshare.

The guy running instagram didn't want it on WindowsPhone "yet" just like it took a long time with Android.
