My Lumia 920's motherboard has gone. What am I doing wrong?

my lumia 920's motherboard has gone.

I have the feeling my phone's completely depleted because this hasn't worked for me. I tried both the soft and hard reset without it plugged in, the phone hasn't turned on. I've tried plugging it in and performing both resets, the phone still hasn't turned on!

First the volume button stops working, and now my entire phone! What am I doing wrong??

Have you plugged it in and just left it awhile?
