Since about 15 minutes ago, I have been hearing myself back through my speakers. Obviously, my microphone is on, picking up sound and feeding it back.
Since getting this computer (Lenovo E580, Win10) a few months ago, I have turned the mic (and camera) off in Device Manager, have tried my damnedest to scrape Cortana off the system, and generally don't use any programmes that require me to be seen or heard.
This problem arose whilst using the computer (so no updates on boot, etc.), nothing active but gmail, facebook and youtube (all on google chrome). I didn't say 'yes' to anything on any website, and I can't find any way to turn my microphone 'more off' than it already is.
