my phone has a setting logo on it and its not opening.why and what should i do?

the screen is black and the settings logo that is moving is the only thing on it and it doesnt open.

Don't do anything to your phone. It is most probably installing some updates - interrupting that process isn't advisable and would most probably lead to complications with your phone.

Just wait from 30-60 minutes for the update to finish.
