My phone has stopped working. Not getting started.

Actually my power key has stopped working and after the 8.1 update i've been using the double tap to wake up the screen, No issues so far. But after downloading windows 10 TP and it has downloaded all its content but is unable to install and my phone is not at all getting started and is showing a symbol like this :-( when the update is being installed. what could be the issue. Is my phone really dead or can i have any other alternative? Please reply.

you can use windows device recovery tool to get it working again with 8.1 OS
