My phone is in a boot loop

I have a lumia 530 with a 8.1 . My battery is dead but when I try to charge it the phone boots up with Nokia logo, goes into a blank screen and then restarts again. I can't soft reset or hard reset, it doesn't respond. When I unplug the charger it shows the low battery logo, so it isn't charging either. What do I do?

Leave it on the charger (wall charger) for 2-3 hours (or more possibly) and just let it do its boot loop. The battery has to charge to a certain percentage before it will start. Just be patient and let it do its thing
