My phone isn't charging properly, is this something I can fix?

My phone isnt charging properly

Well this started a couple of weeks ago , the battery ran out and it took me two days to get it back on after that strange things started happening to my phone . Whenever I attempted to charge it the battery would deplete rather than charge. Initially I thought this problem had something to do with the charger I was using but that wasn't the case I bought a new Microsoft charger this morning but the problem continued to persist . Now I cant turn on my phone no matter what I do , its a lumia 435 and I dont whether the problem lies within the battery or the phone itself, I request immediate assistance thank you.

Not sure this is the way to request it.

I would start with reseating the battery.

Failing that, how long have you had the phone?
I believe the Lumia 435 was only released this year, so is probably under warranty.
