Navigation Software

I decided to bite the bullet and get Navigon. Used it earlier to find my local Guitar Center. It did a very good job for the most part. I got the address using Bing Maps but when I put in Navigon it couldn't find the address. So I found the address using the Google search feature but the address it found was for the old place. I'm not sure if that's a problem on Navigon's end or Google's. Still, Navigon was very easy to follow and quick to map directions. I knew a couple of shortcuts so I went off track several times and Navigon was able to re-route me within seconds.

Garmin does not sure about Navegon. I will check and let you know for sure as a mapping GPS I would take Navegon over Garmin it has better maps. That said Garmin is a better all around travel tool. Both have there strengths I'm glad I have both.

So, when you get to the destination the Garmin shows the address in text on the screen? I use my navigation with the voice off so its very important that it shows the address in text on the screen. My old Nuvi, actually would keep redirecting me if I passed my destination.

Yes it does I checked it again this morning in the top right hand corner of the map screen it shows the address. It takes over the next turn box but only after you have completed the last step in the directions.
