New 930, three things I've noticed so far

1. The metal gets very very hot when charging on an old style charging plate - hurts to hold.
2. There was a weird green flash while I was typing a text
3. When scrolling through any white text, the text goes dark until it stops scrolling

I'm sure I'll add more as I go along

Try looking for a terrapin back cover it'll help with the heating issue

Just have a slight issue.
I am trying to add a certain background as my lock screen.
Went to settings--lock screen---background--change photo
then in backgrounds, second photo in 7th row (sunset scene)
Cannot add this as background in lock screen!
All others work except this one.. can someone help pls!

Open up that picture in Creative Studio or some other photo editing app. Then click the save button. It'll create another version of that photo in your library and should work as a background properly.

I am having the same issue on my 930 and also on my 920 and 1020. In fact I have not been able to see any 5 ghz network from the time I got my 920 or 1020 when they were launched!!

compared to what phone? it has a 2.4 aperture so lets in less light then the 920/925/1020/720 but it also has the slightly bigger sensor then the 920/925/720

I tried the 1520 images aren't to bad at night but not as good as the 920/1020 and video was much worse and more grainy but the audio was better because of the better mic placement

looks like the aperture could be the factor depending on what phone your comparing it too ;-)

1. have you turned of nfc and bluetooth?
2 and 3. microsoft have some explaining to do.

Both my 930 and my 920 connects fine to 5GHz wi-fi. The issue I have is that my 930 randomly drops its wi-fi connection. It will re-connect automatically, but if you are streaming you will have to start all over ....
In addition, I experience slow wakeup and no response to multi-touch. I am not impressed. My 920 feels much more snappy...

I think the front camera is in low light quite disappointing, compared to a iPhone 5S (work phone).
No option to mirror the taken photos with the front camera (with the camera and Nokia camera app)
Lumia gets extremely hot, for example when using Facebook messenger app or browsing in IE app.

I hope Microsoft will update the Lumia to make some improvements.

For selfies use Nokia glam me. It even guides you to take pics with the main camera.

My 930 connects to 5ghz just fine.

This, sadly, is true. It's nowhere near as good as the 920 was. I expected it to at least be on par.

I'm using Virgin Superhub 2, you know what settings need changing come my Lumia 930 to find it? All my devices are connected to 5Ghz..

That might be because the ISO was too high, the noise.

I have the same issue. NokiaHelps on Twitter said it's normal. I say it's sloppy calibration of the camera. Also, check if your camera is perfectly aligned or if the lens also does this

What, I think it's great! Coming from an 8X, you should count yourself lucky as low light performance on that was non-existent.
