I tried it, and it did not work. Would not allow me to put an icon on top on another. Just moves the other one out of the way. I am running DP. Perhaps I need the final 8.1?

This sseems to be instructions for Windows 8.1. I see no mention of WP 8.1 until the very end.

I have a feeling it's going to be available with Update 1 for 8.1, rumored to be out this fall. Or maybe there will be another small update to enable this feature, along with the lock screen themes.

Windows phone 8.1 Update (as it says at the bottom) is not the dev preview. And it's not what is installed on the 630 or 930 out of the box. It is like what they used to call GDR1 which isn't available on any phones yet.

This feature will be only available with wp8.1 GDR1 or as MS calls ' Windows phone 8.1 update' which maybe be launched in July or August as pointed out by Tom warren of 'The verge' in his article.
