My friend on my insistence moved from iPhone to HP Elite x3. His screen is stuck at the hp logo after the update. Soft reset, hard reset would not work. You can't pull the battery out like with the 950. What is the solution?

Is it stuck after holding power button in until it resets? The X3 uses download mode to flash, which is different than the lumias. Try holding the up vol key and power button to reset, if that does not work it might drain the battery completely. Then plug it in and hold the vol up key to see if it goes into download mode at least.

The instructions on this page to reset an unresponsive phone work for Elite X3. This does a factory reset using the current build installed.
