They still don't have the freeway underpass near my house that opened last year, but at least they seem to be taking the mapping thing seriously, so I still have faith that it's only a matter of time before it's as good as Google.

This type of update is found in the Maps app -> 3dots menu -> download maps. There's no link to it in the store or anything.

I'm guessing you tried deleting the data you currently have downloaded and trying to download again? Also, you're doing this over Wi-Fi and not cell, right?

dude it depends if you area has the value for high res satellite image. If it is not, you will get the same thing on gmap.
