New update 9/24/14 Cyan and 8.10.14176.243

Hello guys, I got the 000d error in the beginning. But that was because of the previous update download on the phone. Reboot the phone and download the fresh update.

I have got 4 update packets and my Lumia 920 has cyan now. But since this update I am facing problems with WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger, Nokia Camera Beta, Metrotube, Tube download and various other apps. The instant messaging apps never opened after the update, they give notifications but they wont open. Nokia camera beta has all the icons misplaced and the scattered.

Reinstalling these apps is sorting out the issue. Anyone facing the same issues?

I have 8.10.14176.243 but it is showing as Lumia Black on my Icon. I have shut it down and restarted it but it shows this still. Will I need to use the Nokia Recovery Tool and downgrade to get Lumia Cyan?

14176 uupdate is from Microsoft (OS update), you need to wait for the Nokia's update (firmware update) for Cyan. Is your phone carrier locked? If it is, then you need to wait until your carrier releases it for you.
I don't think using the software recovery would actually help.

I installed the update as well on my ICON but still shows as the Black.

After reading this I deleted some storage but still no update available.
Bummer.

i cant open half the apps..they keep crashing and whatsapp window just doesnt load.

and its friday! ..gonna have a hard time

The same thing happened with me as well mate. Reinstalling the apps fixed the problem. WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, viber, metrotube and few other apps.

Doesn't anybody read the update details? The one that says nokia update for windows phone is the cyan firmware update. The other one is just a build update from ms.

I activated the DP, checked for an update and installed the 8.10.14176.243 , still showing Cyan.
The only reason i did this was that under previous version I could not create folders on the start screen.

First update is large...clear space.

Also only use class 6 SD card

Noticeable Changelog:

Arrow over either wifi or cellular to show what you are using

The arrow over WiFi does not indicate that you have Cyan, my wife's 925 is running Black and she has this feature already.

Ah, hence why it says "Lumia Black".

So I should be seeing the "Nokia" update soon?

After I installed Cyan, I had some apps that wouldn't start. I just did a factory reset and reinstalled them.

Well they are pushing cyan out for a lot more preview devices now.
The 1020 and the 1520 got it a whole back.
Now the 520s are getting it.
I don't know what phone you're on but be patient, you'll be getting it soon enough.
At least before denim comes out.

Get the Nokia Software Recovery Tool from Nokia's official website...install it. Plug in your device to your PC / Laptop and start the tool. It will show a firmware update is available & then click install. It will take time to download & install 1.5 GB data.

Got the same updates in my lumia 520 today. Glad I didn't have to resort to nokia recovery tool.
