Newbie Office/Outlook question

I have yet to receive my phone as I am in a transition market from Alltel to AT&T. I am sure once I have my phone in hand a lot of my questions will be answered but until then I am just trying to prepare a bit more.

My question is what program will my phone sync with as far as calender events go? Outlook? Office? Basically want to be able to type events into my phone or computer and have them sync with each other when they are connected.

If you have a data plan with your phone then everything will automatically sync with your windows live calendar (which also syncs in Outlook using hotmail connector).

I have a hotmail account, which is also my windows live ID; I'm not sure how it works if your live ID is a gmail account or some other service though.

Everything syncs through the cloud, including reminders, notes, etc.


Also, if you have a gmail email account then it syncs with your google calendar; you add events to it too.
