No 2G option in SETTINGS>MOBILE NETWORKS (UK owners, EE/Orange phones)

I've had my L920 (EE) since Dec 2012. After Portico the 2G option in SETTINGS > MOBILE NETWORKS disappeared. After Amber, it's still the same.

I was using someone else's L920 recently (bought unlocked from elsewhere) and noticed that the option for 2G is still there for them. Theirs is more recent and was bought with Amber update preinstalled.

Anyone found a solution to this? IS there one? Thanks!

I only have 2G and 3G on mine. No 4G.

Really? And you got it from EE? And you haven't flashed or done anything to it apart from OTA updates?
